Entry 005
Welcome back.
The site’s finally up, the first Razor Hill Strip has bled its way into your eyes. What did you think? I hope it stuck — there’s plenty more on the way.
Now that you’ve met Dipp — the fly-queen hostess of these nightmares — I can tell you more about the plan. Each strip is a short story, a glimpse into the horrors of Razor Hill and the city that cradles it, Kelowna City. The Hill is home base, but over time we’ll drift through other districts. Dipp will always be there, guiding you, buzzing in your ear.
With each strip, I’ll also recommend a song — a track that nails the vibe. The first was born under Human Fly by The Cramps. I’m still working out how best to share these pairings with you, but it’ll happen. Not a requirement, just another way for us to sync up while you chew on this filth I’m creating.
If you’ve got questions, curses, or love letters, drop me a line — the email’s on the home page of www.RazorHillComix.com.
I won’t lie. Keeping this ship upright hasn’t been easy. The voices in my skull tempt me to quit, to pack it up. And I know the start’s been slow — few eyes have found me, fewer still leave their cozy social feeds to wander down here. But it’s not about numbers. It’s about finding the right ones — the few who feel the sting of this work and decide to stick around for the ride.
My confidence wavers, but that’s part of the journey. You won’t just see my writing and drawing sharpen — you’ll see me transform. Call it soul-searching if you want. I don’t know if I believe in a soul, but I believe in finding your truest self, then living it raw and unfiltered. That’s the path I’m on. Ugly, long, unrelenting.
The New Taste are with me — I can feel them growing in the shadows. I just need to keep moving forward, ink as my compass. I don’t know how much time I’ve got, but whatever’s left, I’m all in. You’ll see. For now, I’ve got to get back to the board. Episode two is written, thumbnails underway — soon the panels will breathe.
You know the drill. Say it, whisper it, scream it if you wish.
This has been BAG!
And I’ll see you here on Razor Hill.
